Rovectin makes some of my favorite skincare, so of course I wanted to try the new Rovectin Green Papaya Pore Cleansing foam. It’s available on Amazon, YesStyle (reward code KBHOBBIT), Rovectin site, and Wishtrend (code LUCY15). The product promises to get rid of dead skin cells and impurities, improve the appearance of pores, and regulate sebum production. The star ingredients are papaya, apple, and grape extracts.

For me, this is a second step cleanser, after a cleansing oil. The creamy white cleanser has a noticeable scent and provides sufficient foam. There’s definitely a bit of a “squeaky clean” feeling after use.
My impressions
This is the first Rovectin product I didn’t like, at least as far as I remember. I was super excited to try the cleanser, because the brand usually works well for my combination skin. However, the formula is too harsh for my liking. Somehow, the smell makes it feel even harsher, because it is strong and unappealing. I can often look past the smell, such as in the case of I’m From Mugwort Cleanser, however Rovectin foam as a whole isn’t good for my skin.
I finished the tube but in a nonconventional way - it made a great body wash, especially after a sweaty workout, and my pits felt squeaky clean (TMI, I know, you are welcome). I can certainly find cheaper body wash, so I will not be getting this product again. Someone with very oily skin might enjoy this for an occasional “deep clean”, but for me it’s a no. A totally joyless experience.
