Have you ever purchased a makeup product to play video games? No? Well, I have. One of my kids got a VR headset for Christmas, and I’ve been playing on it quite a bit. But any makeup, especially highlighter, leaves marks on the face pads. Washing my face any time I want to game is inconvenient, so what other options are there? A setting spray, of course!
I don’t wear heavy makeup and don’t use setting sprays in my regular everyday life, so I had no prior experience. I’ve seen makeup artists recommend using setting sprays before makeup to block skin oils from destroying the look. I control my oil very well with primer, so I only use this fixer at the very end of the look. It has a mild, pleasant, non-distracting scent that doesn’t last and doesn’t bother me while I’m spritzing. The finish isn’t overly dewy or matte - it’s simply “natural”, like my own skin with maybe just a tad of additional glow. While I typically do not like spraying my face with anything (and I even avoid mist toners and essences), I do not mind this product at all. The mist is fine and dries down fast.
My impressions
This is so wonderful that I think I’m going to be a setting spray user from now on. While I do not usually have issues with makeup not lasting, I certainly see marks on my glasses (the nose piece), winter coat collars, and even work headsets from both SPF and blush / highlighter. The So Natural All Day Tight Make Up Setting Fixer takes care of almost all of that. Oh, and it cuts the marks left on the VR nearly to 0 as well, which is great. 10/10 would get this again, but of course I also want to try other brands now as well.
