Nothing wowed me as much in Korean skincare as peeling gels. I remember my first ever experience almost four years ago and how my skin was immediately so soft and smooth. That excitement is still fresh - I bask in delight after every #peelinggel use.
Regular exfoliation is very important, both for the appearance of skin and to ensure maximum efficacy of every product in your routine.
I’m currently using the Swanicoco Soft and More Blacksugar Peeling Gel 1-2 times a week (sometimes I use other exfoliation methods as well). It contains black sugar and lemon extract to effectively remove dead skin cells and debris. It also promises to get rid of blackheads. This was my first ever Swanicoco product. The brand strives to use ingredients that are natural, safe, and suitable for sensitive skin. That’s something I can definitely get behind.
The gel has a delicate texture and a beautiful caramel color. Honestly, it makes me a bit hungry...
How to use:
Apply to clean, dry skin
Massage for 1-2 minutes
Rinse
Follow with the rest of your skincare routine
My impressions:
I like this peeling gel. It’s a bit different from other gels I used, because it combines PHA (chemical exfoliants) with sugar (a physical exfoliant). It’s not harsh at all and is a pleasure to use.
My skin feels soft and velvety afterwards; there’s no dryness or irritation. I have combination skin that’s prone to redness if I’m not careful, but Swanicoco Soft and More Blacksugar Peeling Gel gives me no issues.
I can’t speak to the blackhead claim as I do not suffer from them. If you have them and have tried this gel, please let me know what you think!
