I think today is Saturday, which means I should be catching up on my reviews (granted, I might be publishing this at a later date). I think it’s Saturday. My days of social distancing are all blending together. Even though I’m still working (from home) and otherwise staying busy. Work really never ends when you are a parent.
In my recent blog post and YouTube video I talked about taking care of your skin while being stuck at home. Proper sun protection is very important, even if you are mostly indoors. I’m currently using Thank You Farmer Safe Sun Fluid. It’s sold on eBay, YesStyle, and Jolse.
I recently saw some Facebook posts of people discussing how much sunscreen they are saving during the quarantine. Um… Unless you are staying in a windowless dungeon, daily SPF is still important. Most windows do not block UVA rays, which penetrate deeply into the skin and negatively impact collagen production. Not to mention that in most countries, it’s OK to go outside for a lonely (but still healthy) walk. Daily SPF is definitely a good idea.
Thank You Farmer Safe Sun Fluid SPF50+ PA++++ is a 100% mineral sunscreen that’s even supposed to lower the skin temperature. I can’t speak to that claim as it’s still cold here in the Midwest. The non-irritating formula should be suitable for all skin types, even sensitive ones.
This sunscreen has a liquid consistency and is very easy to apply. It’s not sticky or greasy and leaves no white cast. The white cast statement is specific to my skin tone - I am quite fair. On darker skin that may not be the case. I love the semi matte finish of the product. Typically, I use a light dusting on powder on my skin daily, but I’ve been going makeup free while working from home and skipping the powder. The sunscreen alone provides a great finish.
You can see how I apply this product and what it looks like in this video, starting at minute 8:34. Once absorbed, any hint of a white cast disappears (at least for me). Thank You Farmer Safe Sun Fluid is made from EWG green-rated ingredients (with the exception of titanium dioxide).
Overall, I’m very happy with this and would purchase again.
