Unleashia Glitterpedia Eye Palette Review

I typically don’t wear much makeup, except on filming days, but that’s been changing recently. Part of the reason is no matter how much I love skincare, eventually all the jars and tubes start to lose their appeal. But makeup - that’s new and exciting. However, I also have a sneaking suspicion that seeing age-related changes in the mirror is driving me further into decorative cosmetics to distract from the fact that I’m no longer 18. Aging is a privilege, sure, but it’s still not easy. Regardless of any underlying deeper reasons, playing with makeup is fun!

Unleashia has been all over my social media lately - the combination of their marketing efforts and eye catching packaging and products is working its magic. I had the Unleashia Glitterpedia Eye Palette, available on Amazon, YesStyle (reward code KBHOBBIT), and Stylevana (code INF10KBH) in my stash for a little while but only opened it a couple of months ago. The palette comes in 7 variations, I have N1 All of Glitter.

The palettes in the collection feature matte, shimmery, and glittery formulations. Mine has no flat colors - only shimmers and glitters. When I first started using these shadows, I applied them with a brush. However, due to the creamy texture, I’m able to use my fingers with most of the colors. As a bonus, there’s no fallout - again, due to the creaminess of the formula.

My impressions

I start out most of my makeup reviews with a full disclaimer that I’m not experienced with decorative cosmetics. However, I am no longer a total beginner either. I have combination face skin but hooded, oily eyelids. Any eye makeup has to meet a few criteria - it cannot be heavy, sticky, or imprint on my top lids. Unleashia Glitterpedia palette checks off all of those boxes. The reason I kept it sealed for so long is because high shine, glittery makeup isn’t normally my go to. But it’s good to try new things, and I’m glad I finally tried this.

I mostly wear this without a primer. It stays well, doesn’t crease much, and doesn’t migrate down even after a workout. If I see creasing, it’s minimal and easily fixed with a swipe of a finger.

I rarely use the palette by itself, usually doing a “boring” based of matte beige colors and then adding a pop of Unleashia glitter for a more dramatic and interesting look. But I have done just these shadows before and they look pretty - check out the pictures that are included in this review. A huge bonus point for me is the ability to apply with fingers. Most mornings, having to take out makeup brushes is my main obstacle to doing my face. Fingers are so much faster and easier. I will probably hit the pan on this palette, which is a new accomplishment for me.

Expect several more Unleashia reviews for me in the coming weeks - I have a few of their products on my favorites list and I cannot wait to talk about them.
