CICAGO Cica Clearing Bubble Cleanser Review
Updated: Nov 7, 2020
CICAGO is a new to me Korean skincare brand that focuses on natural, safe ingredients and products containing cica.
What is cica? It’s just another term for Centella Asiatica, a medicinal herb praised for its healing and antibacterial properties. Cica is especially popular in products meant for sensitive and acne prone skin. The CICAGO Cica Clearing Bubble Cleanser is a gentle second-step / foaming face wash that effectively purifies the skin and soothes redness and breakouts, available on* eBay and Amazon. It can be used both morning and night. If using this at night, be sure to start with a cleansing oil (reviews here) to remove all makeup and sunscreens first.
This has been my go-to morning cleanser for the last couple of weeks. It’s great. I’m so tired and sleepy in the mornings that I don’t even want to foam my own face wash (true story), and here the bottle does it for me. The foam is fluffy and rich, one pump is plenty for the whole face and neck. You can absolutely use it in the evenings, but I am trying to finish out my other foaming cleansers at that time (read reviews here).
The scent deserves a special mention. It’s very light and pleasant, with slight citrus notes and the base aroma most likely from bergamot oil in the ingredients. My skin feels clean but not dry or tight. Using the foam is a fantastic experience for all the senses. I highly recommend this for any skin type, and especially if you have sensitive or acne prone skin. You can also check out my other CICAGO reviews here and reviews of products with centella here.
I bought this product on 0.8L
