I’m a skincare fanatic but can’t say the same about makeup. However, it’s fun to do on occasion and watch the face transform. In the last few years, I’ve had quite a few kbeauty advent calendars, and almost all of them included some makeup. Because of this, I tried things I may not have ordinarily purchased.
Clio Pro Eye Shadow Palette in 02 Brown Choux came to me from Stylevana (discount code INF10KBH). It’s also available on Amazon, Blooming Koco, iHerb (code CWN6107), and StyleKorean. Other colors are available; the one that looks great to me is 09 Botanic Mauve.
The palette advertises “ten harmonious colors from base to point colors” with matte, shimmer, and pearl crystal glitter options.

I use my own eyeshadow brushes, because I like them, but it’s nice that the kit includes a brush. The lid has a narrow built-in mirror that’s a perfect size to see the eyes.
My impressions
Bear with me, as I am far from a makeup enthusiast. Yet sometimes reviews from amateurs are even more valuable, since if I can figure out a product, probably so could most people. The Clio Pro Eye Shadow Palette is very easy to use. The colors are vibrant and go on smoothly even without primer. I do get some fallout during application and recommend waiting to do your base makeup until after the eyes are done (for easier cleanup on the cheeks). Once applied, the shadows stay in place and do not flake or smudge. Everything comes off easily with cleansing oil - I’m currently using the one by SKIN1004 - review here.

Overall, I like the formula and the wear, but the colors themselves aren’t my favorite. The browns are so warm they border on orange. I prefer cooler tones, but that’s hard to find in kbeauty. I remember scouring Jolse at one point and finding one Rom&nd palette with some grays and cool neutrals. This is all personal preference and in no way reflects on the product. If you want a warm hued eyeshadow set that’s small enough to be portable yet large enough to offer versatility of looks, then this Clio palette is a good choice. I’m going to keep using it, especially the shimmers, in conjunction with the other eyeshadows in my small makeup kit.
