Dr. Ceuracle Vegan Kombucha Tea Essence comes up in my Facebook group fairly regularly. People seem to unanimously love it, and someone described it as “God’s gift to humanity”. With that kind of feedback, I HAD TO try it for myself! It’s available on YesStyle (reward code KBHOBBIT), Amazon, and Jolse. Watch the unboxing reel here.
Dr. Ceuracle Vegan Kombucha Tea Essence promises to nourish and hydrate the skin for a healthy complexion. This is a multi-purpose product with hydration of a toner, nutrients of an essence, and moisture of a cream (although I still seal it in with another occlusive layer). The star ingredients are camellia sinensis leaf water (rich in antioxidants), sunflower seed oil (nourishing), schisandra chinensis extract (improves texture), kombucha (probiotics / vitamin B), and ceramide to support a healthy skin barrier.
How to use:
Shake well
Apply on clean face
Gently pat it
Use more than one layer for extra hydration and nourishment.
Despite having sunflower seed oil in the ingredients, the essence doesn’t feel heavy. It pours out easily but is definitely a bit thicker than water. When the white creamy layer and the tea-colored watery layer mix together, the result is a beautiful cafe au lait liquid that feels like a hug for the face. It’s not sticky or oily in any way. Dr. Ceuracle calls it a cream essence, and that’s a perfect way to describe it.
The bottle is glass, which always adds a certain feeling of luxury to my evening skincare routine. I haven’t noticed a scent. If there is one, it must be very mild.
My impressions
I have combination skin with some oily and some dry areas, a bit of pigmentation (mostly freckles) and some fine lines. During the winter, my skin struggles to stay balanced between the cold, snowy outdoors and the Sahara desert dry indoor air.
I’m loving Dr. Ceuracle Vegan Kombucha Tea Essence! It absolutely blew my mind, which is saying a lot since testing products has been my part time job for five years. The entire experience of shaking the bottle and watching the layers combine is beautiful, and the essence is a pleasure to apply. I typically use it after a first treatment essence (such as this Missha one), but right after cleansing would also work. I have a lot more time to devote to skincare at night, so I’ve been using kombucha essence as part of my evening routine, but it is also ok in the morning, especially if your skin is on the dry side and could use a little hug before facing the day.
The brand makes some claims about this being a “detox” for the skin. I think that’s some shady marketing, but I also won’t let that take away from my actual experience with the product.
My combination skin drinks this right up - I love the instant feeling of hydration and nourishment. I even apply a bit to my hands, because they always take a beating this time of year. I’ve been using the essence for several weeks but can barely see any of it gone from the bottle - it should last me for a long time. My skin feels softer, the dry areas are hydrated without congesting the oily ones. The brand makes it sound like this could be your only post-cleanse product, but I prefer to seal mine in with a moisturizer for some extra occlusive action.
Have you tried this? What did you think?
